Sony Ericsson Discription

Sony Ericsson is a joint venture established in 2001 by the Japanese electronics Sony Corporation and the Swedish telecommunications company Ericsson to make mobile phones. The reasons for this venture is to combine consumer electronics expertise with Sony Ericsson's technology leadership in the communications sector. Both companies have stopped making their own mobile phones.

The management company in the world is based in Hammersmith, London, and he has teams of research and development in Sweden, Japan, China, Canada, Netherlands, the United States, India and the United Kingdom, Uni.

Sony Ericsson has around 8000 employees worldwide. With a 43% annual growth rate, it has become the fastest growing mobile T3 seller 2006 compared to Motorola, with a rate of 39%. In 2007, Sony Ericsson had surpassed Nokia to become the most profitable mobilephone maker in terms of net profit rate, behind Nokia and gross margin. He had been hit by the growth of its high-end market of the handset market.

The company is current President since November 1, Hideki Komiyama, who will be replacing Miles Flint, and the Corporate Executive Vice President Anders Runevad is. The company in the world is the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi.

Ericsson, which had been in the cell phone market for decades, decided to dispose of that business in 2001 following huge losses. Ericsson has decided to source on chips for its phones from a single source, a Philips facility in New Mexico. In March 2000, a fire at the Philips plant contaminated installation sterile. Philips assured Ericsson and Nokia (another major customer of the institution), that production may be delayed by less than a week. When it became clear that production could indeed be jeopardized for months, Ericsson has been facing an acute shortage. Nokia has already started to get parts from other sources, but Ericsson's position is far worse at the same time as current models of production and the launch of new was arrested.

Sony Ericsson is the title sponsor of the World Women's Tennis Association (WTA), and works with the Association to promote the Tour in over 80 cities.

Sony Ericsson acquired UIQ Technology, a Swedish software company Symbian Ltd. in February 2007. UIQ remain an independent company, said Miles Flint.

On October 15, 2007, Sony Ericsson has announced the Symbian Smartphone Show that they will be selling half of its share to Motorola UIQ making UIQ technology owned by two major mobile phone companies.

Sony Ericsson currently focuses on the categories of music, the camera, the business community (Web and e-mail), design, do everything, and the budget-oriented phones. Its three main categories are:

Sony Ericsson Walkman phones have already been approved by commercially pop star Christina Aguilera across Europe.
* The Cyber-Shot brand line of mobile phones, launched in 2006.
This range of phones focus on the quality of the device supplied with the phone. Cyber-shot phones always include a flash, some with a xenon flash, and also include auto-focus cameras. Sony Ericsson kicked off its marketing campaign for the World Cyber-shot phone with the launch of 'Never Miss a Shot. "Campaign featuring female tennis players Ana High Ivanović and Daniela Hantuchova.
