Sony Ericsson announced its new K630i, a multimedia-focused candybar packed with HSDPA for high speed data. The K630i also features a 2.0 megapixel camera with video recording capabilities so that you can easily capture the moment. All multimedia on the K630i is available through a single menu, making it simple to find a picture, video, or song.
The K630i stays connected thanks to its tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900MHz) support and WCDMA/HSDPA on the 2100MHz band. Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP support for stereo headphones is also included in the K630i, making it easy to enjoy your music. Users can load music onto the K630i through the included Music Manager software, and the K630i also sports an FM Radio and can stream audio or video, for a complete music experience. A 256MB Memory Stick Micro (M2) card is included in the box, and the phone will support cards with capacities up to 4GB.
In terms of messaging support, the K630i also has what it takes to keep people connected. Naturally the phone support regular POP and IMAP4 email system, but on top of that, it also supports Microsoft's Exchange Activesync system for over the air push of email, contacts, and calendar appointments. Additionally, the device also supports AIM, Yahoo!, MSN, and ICQ instant messaging right out of the box.
The K630i weighs in at an average 97g (3.4oz) and measures 103mm x 47mm x 15.5mm (4" x 2" x .61"). The main display is a 2.0" 262k TFT color screen, with 176x220 pixel resolution. The K630i will be available in Q4 2007 in either Havana Gold or Quick Black. Pricing is not yet available.
