t's here, the XPERIA X1 QWERTY from Sony Ericsson. Yes, full QWERTY to make the most of that Windows Mobile 6 operating system. SE's new XPERIA brand will focus on multimedia and mobile web communication. The X1 then, brings a 3-inch wide VGA (800 x 480) touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera (with photo light), A2DP Bluetooth, aGPS, WiFi, and microSD -- just 400MB on board. On the phone side you've got quad-band GSM/EDGE, and 900/1700/1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (or 850/1700/1900/2100MHz in what must be a US-bound model). Navigation is accomplished via touch, arc-sliding QWERTY, 4-way key and optical joystick. Now just replace that Internet Explorer Mobile browser with Opera Mobile 9.5 or Skyfire and the 110 x 53 x 16.7-mm X1 is ready to live up to its potential. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 comes with four navigation options which include the touch screen controls, a four way control key, optical joystick navigation or the slide out to reveal a wide QWERTY keyboard. The user can slide the QWERTY keyboard out my simply pushing the screen upwards when the Smartphone is its widescreen position. The phone comes with 400 megabytes of internal user memory which can be extended by adding a memory card to suit the user's storage requirements. The XPERIA X1 supports MicroSD™ type memory cards which are fitted into the allocated memory card slot easily.
The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 is a 3G HSDPA Smartphone which allows the user to enjoy the freedom of high speed Internet, messaging, video streaming & video calls. The user can experience al the fastest & latest technologies including EDGE, HSUPA & WLAN Wi-Fi. The EDGE technology will provide the user with super fast transfer rates which make the XPERIA X1 a pleasure to use when transferring files. The built in HSUPA technology provides fast upload speeds of up to 5.7 megabytes per second. The Wi-Fi support allows the user to access the Internet wirelessly using a high speed hotspot connection. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 comes with Bluetooth® wireless technology which allows the user to enjoy a cable free connection between their Smartphone & other Bluetooth® compatible devices. The USB port allows the user to connect the Smartphone to devices using a USB cabled connection. The 3G Smartphone is a GSM quad band network phone complete with UMTS network.
An integrated 3.2 megapixel digital camera is situated on the back of the handset which can be used to take pictures & record video. The user can capture all those fun & memorable parts of their day using the 3.2 megapixel camera feature. The camera comes with a variety of features which allow the user to capture the best shot possible. An auto focus will ensure the target is in focus, the 3 x digital zoom feature will ensure the user gets up close to their target & the photo light with brighten up those duller environments. The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 3G Smartphone comes with easy to use video features including video streaming capabilities, video recording vie the camera feature & video playback. A built in media player allows the user to playback popular music & video formats on this amazing handset which makes this a portable entertainment device. The user can tune into their favourite radio station on the FM radio which comes complete with radio RDS. The RDS feature allows the user to view radio information whilst listening to their favourite station.
